Don’t buy these! The design

"Don’t buy these! The design is horrible. My strap was sewn incorrectly causing a bump on the baby toe. Super uncomfortable. The dye job was also streaky. And Taos did not stand behind their product. The warranty team blamed it on a fit issue which of course is not guaranteed so I am stuck with them. For $200 you’d think the quality would be better. I loved this company and recommended them all the time to friends. Not anymore. Sad that they don’t care about their customers."

Pressure point and no buckle

"I wanted to love this one, having loved the "On the Double" style cork footbed. But this one fell in just the wrong spot on my foot on the upper buckle, triggering a nerve pinch or something. Because the toe is not adjustable, and on me (with a narrow foot, even!) it was fairly snug, I couldn't adjust the shoe to relieve the pressure point on the upper. So, a simple style adjustment could have made this another winner for me, but I had to return."

Great Sandal for the right foot

"I wanted to love this sandal. It was very cute but the footbed didn’t work for me. There we not enough height in the heel to make the arch comfortably. I have pretty flat feet. So I returned for the Showtime which has more height in the heel and for my foot it was a more comfortable footbed."

Nice sandals

"These sandals are very comfortable now that I’ve worn them a few times. My foot is a bit wider than average so they were a bit tight across the front of my foot. One thing I’m not loving is how easily the leather is scratched/scraped. This leaves the straps looking not super great."

I own several pairs of

"I own several pairs of Taos sandals. They are well made and extremely comfortable. I wore them all over Europe and was extremely pleased with the performance and style of my sandals. I felt confident to order the Sideways sandals for my trip to Vietnam. Unfortunately the Sideways sandals run small so I had to send them back. It was very disappointing to order the same size as my other Taos sandals only to find the footbed was slightly shorter and a larger size is not available."

I’m really loving them so

"I’m really loving them so far! I was worried at first because the first time I wore them they were a bit uncomfortable. But after breaking them in for a few days they’re great. I have pretty flat feet so I think it took a bit for my feet to get used to having arch support ;). But they’re such a nice style and very supportive. I would definitely recommend them!"

Rubs my toe, not so cute

"I was hopeful about these but the front strap rubs my toe right away and they have a vaguely orthopedic look. Definitely not as cute and comfy as the big buckle ones I’ve been walking NYC in. Too bad, could have used a back up pair."

"I absolutely 100% LOVE my new Sideways sandals!!! I bought them from reading the reviews to be my ‘go to’ shoe for a 9 day cruise with stops in Italy and France. Average steps per day were 10 000 steps and these sandals did not disappoint!!! It felt like I had owned them for years. They are so comfortable and I’m so happy I bought them! You will not be disappointed!!"

Wanted to love

"I love the color and the soft leather, but wish I had noticed the reviews about the metal grommets digging in near the ankles. The foot bed and the leather straps are otherwise comfortable, but the metal digs in and after some time, the very top strap starts to irritate me. Hoping this all goes away over time, but disappointed for the price paid. I also wish this came a bit wider."
